A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android

THIS IS STILL UNDER HEAVY DEVELOPMENT. BEAR IN MIND THIS IS THE WORK OF ONLY 2 WEEKS.

But yes, this is hardware accelerated Derelict for the Nintendo 64.

A port from the Derelict 32-bit version, but with an OpenGL 1.1 renderer.

(written using the experimental OpenGL branch of LibDragon)

I'm not sure if this runs on the hardware, but I've tested it with both Ares and CEN64 and it run fine (albeit a bit on the slow side).

It's been confirmed to run on the real hardware...and better than I expected, actually!

This is a slow game. Take your time!

Controls:

  • Move with the DPAD
  • C-UP: use current item or use it with with the focused item on the environment
  • C-DOWN: Pick/drop current item or pick/interact with item on the environment
  • C-LEFT or Z: Inspect current item in hand
  • C-RIGHT: Cycle to the next item in the inventory
  • Start: bring up the menu
  • L and R: Strafe.

Over the next few days, I will upload versions for Linux (x86_64 and ARM) as well as MacOS (PPC/Intel/ARM).

Install instructions

The Nintendo 64 version won't run on Project64 or other High Level Emulators. Please use CEN64 or Ares. The game is known to work on the real hardware, YMMV.

The native MacOS version .app can be placed anywhere and requires no installation. It was (at least partially) built on a PowerMac G4 running Mac OSX Tiger. If you own a Panther machine, let me know and I will make you a build.

impressive developments. You perform perfectly in any field
waiting for beta testing. regards mate.

hah, wait until you see the current sorry state of this port. It's *far* from "perfectly" LOL

But hey, everybody has to start somewhere. I'll ship a basic, functional version, but will continue to optimize it later.
